GE Refrigerator Not Getting Cold – What to Do
If you are having issues with your refrigerator not getting cold, here are a few tips to help you fix it. 1. Check if the thermostat is set correctly. Make sure that the thermostat is properly installed and the temperature setting is correct. 2. Check if the door seals are working properly. If the door seals are not working properly, you may have to replace them.
1. Set the Temperature
To set the temperature, turn off the power switch. Then press the “Temp” button located on the front panel of the refrigerator. Pressing the Temp button will display the current temperature. To change the temperature, simply press the Temp button again until you reach the desired temperature. 2. Reset the Thermostat Answer: Turn off the power switch. Remove the faceplate from the back of the refrigerator. Disconnect the wires connected to the thermostat. Turn the power switch back on. Reconnect the wires to the thermostat and reattach the faceplate.

1. Open the door of the appliance and remove the two screws located near the top left corner of the door. 2. Lift off the door and disconnect the power cord from the back of the unit.

To correct the problem, place a heavy object such as a book on top of the refrigerator until the refrigerator is level. Then remove the weight from the refrigerator.
