Jennair has been around since 1960 and is now owned by Whirlpool Corporation.
They manufacture refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washer/dryers, cooktops, ovens, microwaves, and other appliances.
Jennair refrigerator dispensers are designed to dispense cold or hot water from the top of the fridge.
They are usually connected to the faucet and are controlled by a switch located near the door handle
JennAir Refrigerator Water Dispenser Not Working – What to Do
1 Check if the refrigerator door is open or closed. 2 Make sure the water dispenser is turned off.
1. Water Supply Tube
1. Check if the refrigerator door was left open or closed. If the door was left open, check if the ice maker is working properly. 2. Turn off the water supply tube. 3. Remove the water supply tube from the refrigerator. 4. Clean the water supply tube using soap and warm water. 5. Reattach the water supply tube to the refrigerator. 6. Press the button to turn on the water supply tube.
2. Water Inlet Valve
Check if the water inlet valve is leaking. Remove the water inlet valve from the faucet. Clean the water inlet valve using soap and warm water and reattach it back to the faucet.
3. Dispenser Control Board
Check if the dispenser control board is working properly. Disconnect the power supply cord from the wall socket. Turn off the water flow switch located on the top of the dispenser control board.
4. Dispenser Switch
Check the dispenser switch for continuity. 5. Water Flow Valve Answer: Turn off the water flow valve located on the top of dispenser control board.
5. Door Switch
Turn off the door switch located on the bottom of dispenser control board 6. Drain Pump Motor Answer: Disconnect the drain pump motor from the dispenser control board. Remove the drain pump motor from its mounting bracket.
6. Water Filter
Remove the filter cartridge from the water filter. Clean the filter cartridge with a soft brush or cloth. Replace the filter cartridge into the water filter. 7. Drain Valve Answer: Turn off the water supply to the dispenser. Open the drain valve located on the top of the dispenser. Close the drain valve after draining.
JennAir Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Not Working – How to Fix
Turn off the power switch. Remove the ice tray from the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator. Check if the power cord is plugged properly. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Reattach the ice tray to the refrigerator. 1 Check the drain hose for kinks or obstructions. 2 Is the dispenser turned off?
1. Water Filter
Check the filter for blockages. If the filter is clogged, turn the unit off and remove the filter from the refrigerator. Clean the filter using warm water and dishwashing liquid.
