Amana Fridge Freezing Food – What to Do
I am having problem with my fridge freezing food. It seems like it is not working properly. I have tried everything but nothing works. I have checked the power supply and it is fine. I have checked the freezer coils and they seem to be OK. I have cleaned the ice maker and the fan blades. I have even changed the filter. Nothing seems to help. Please help me.
1. Temperature Set Too Low
If the temperature setting is set too low, the refrigerator won’t freeze anything. This could happen if the thermostat isn’t working correctly. Try checking the thermostat itself. If it’s defective, replace it. 2. Ice Maker Not Working Properly Answer: Check the ice maker to see if it’s plugged into the wall socket. If it isn’t, check the fuse box under the sink. If the fuse box doesn’t have any fuses, call an electrician.
2. Blocked Air Vents
Blocked air vents can occur from debris buildup in the filter area. Clean the filter screen and/or change the filter. 3. Water Leaking From Refrigerator Door Answer: Check the door gaskets around the hinges. If they’re damaged, replace them.
How to Prevent Frost Buildups on Your Fridge’s Vents
1 Keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible. This helps prevent cold air from escaping into the house. 2 Make sure the refrigerator’s vent pipe is clear of any obstructions.

Frost buildup on the vents is caused by condensation. Condensation forms on the outside of the fridge because of the cold temperatures inside the fridge. It usually occurs during the winter months. To prevent frost build ups on the vents, you need to ensure that the vents are not blocked. You can clean the vents using a damp cloth. Cleaning the vents is very important to avoid the formation of ice on the vents.
ii. Replace leaking door seal
If you notice any leakages around the door seals, you need to replace them immediately. This is because if the door seal gets damaged, it will allow air into the refrigerator. Air entering the refrigerator will result in moisture accumulation inside the refrigerator. Moisture accumulates inside the refrigerator because of the low humidity level inside the refrigerator. As soon as the moisture reaches the compressor, it will freeze and form ice. Ice formation inside the compressor will damage the compressor. To fix the problem, you need to remove the screws from the back panel of the refrigerator. Once you remove the screws, you need to lift off the back panel. After lifting off the back panel, you need to check whether the door seals are damaged. If the door seals are damaged, you need to replace the door seals. iii. Check the fan motor

1. Open the door of the freezer. 2. Remove the ice tray from the freezer. 3. Press the “off” button located on the front panel of the freezer. 4. Close the door of the freezer and press the “on” button located on top of the freezer. 5. Wait until the ice maker stops making ice. 6. Replace the ice tray into the freezer. 7. Press the “on’ button again. 8. Repeat steps 1 – 7 until the ice maker turns off. 9. Press the “start” button located on front panel of the freezer 10. Be sure to dry the coils thoroughly. 5. The Door Handle Is Broken Answer: To replace the handle, unscrew the two screws holding the handle in place. Then slide the handle away from the door. Slide the new handle onto the door and screw it into place.
