1. Condenser Fan Motor
Get about their AC running too loud, it’s probably because they don’t have enough airflow through their system. In fact, most people think that the louder their AC runs, the cooler it must be outside. But that’s just not true. Airflow is everything. You want to make sure that the air coming into your home is moving freely through the ductwork. Otherwise, you’ll end up with hot spots where the air isn’t circulating properly, and cold spots where it does circulate. And those are both bad things.
The best way to ensure proper airflow is to use a fan. Fans move air around. So if you have one installed, you shouldn’t hear your AC run very loudly.
Condenser fans are different from regular fans. Instead of drawing air in through the front of the unit, they draw air in through the sides. This makes sense because you’d never put a normal fan directly over a heat exchanger. Why would you do that? Because the fan wouldn’t push the air away from the heat exchanger, making it harder for the air to cool down.
