Step 1: Place the refrigerator on its side. This way, any unevenness will be more noticeable.
Step 2: Using a measuring tape, measure the distance from the bottom of the refrigerator to the floor. Write down this number.
Step 3: Measure the height of the refrigerator. Again, write down this number.
Step 4: Subtract the lower measurement from the higher measurement. This gives you the difference in inches. Divide this number by 12 (the number of inches in a foot). Round up to the nearest whole inch. For example, if the difference is 0.25 feet, round up to 1/4 inch.
Step 5: Add one-fourth of an inch to the rounded-up number. This is the amount of space needed to level the refrigerator.
Step 6: Move the refrigerator into position. Make sure the front edge is even with the floor.
Step 7: Tighten the bolts securing the legs to the base.

If they aren’t, you’ll have to drill new holes. Next, you’ll have to cut the old pin from the hinge arm. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have to put the pin into the new hole. Now, you’ll have to bend the pin back into shape. Lastly, you’ll have to reassemble the hinge. 4. Handle Isn’t Sturdy Enough You can fix this yourself, but it’s easier to get someone else to do it. Simply unscrew the handle from the door frame. Take the handle apart and clean any dirt or grime off the metal parts. Then, apply some rust preventative spray to the metal parts. Screw the handle back together.
4. Leveling Is Wrong
Leveling is important to ensure that the floor is level. A level is used to measure how flat the surface is. To level the floor, you’ll need to remove the tiles and sand down the wood subfloor. This way, you’ll be able to see where the floor needs to be leveled. After leveling, you’ll have to fill the gaps between the tiles with spackle. 5. Door Won’t Close Properly This problem usually occurs when the door won’t latch properly. Check the screws holding the door to the frame. Make sure they’re secure.
